Flower Curl Suitable for Different Hair Types

Whether you have fine, thick, straight, wavy or curly hair, the Flower Curl will create the most luscious curls whilst you sleep! The hair curler sits nicely across your scalp and away from your face and ears, allowing you to roll from side to side during the night without feeling discomfort.

The Flower Curl is named after its petal shaped design and comes with soft detachable rings that are attached to the middle donut.  The concept behind the Flower Curl is pretty simple and one that you will be able to master in no time!  The hair is positioned into a high ponytail using the middle donut, with the rings already attached to it. The length of hair is then sectioned and wrapped around each ring and secured with bobby pins.

The hair curler is best suited for women with the following hair lengths: Aprmit length hair, mid back length and waist length hair. In this article we’ll go through 4 different ways you can use the Flower Curl and the different hair curling results that you can achieve.

4 Ways to use the Flower Curl

Option #1: Voluminous Curls

If you love the idea of waking up with voluminous hair, then this option is the one to go for! Suitable for both fine and thick hair, this curling option uses all 4 rings (or 5 rings for thick hair). It is a firm favourite with our customers as it creates plenty of bounce and volume.   The curls will appear tight at first, which will need to be opened or brushed out to create a softer look.  This Flower Curl option will take just a few minutes to set, depending on the length of your hair.

Option #2: Slightly Looser Curls

This Flower Curl option will give you a generous amount of curls but slightly looser than the first option.  To achieve this look, detach one of the rings from the hair curler, using the strap and hook provided.

Option #3: Loose Large Curls

Many of our customers love experimenting with different amount of rings.  This option is a very popular one as it creates beautiful loose curls in the least amount of time.  Best suited for fine hair, this option uses 2 rings only and is positioned on the top of the scalp, same as the previous two techniques.

Option #4: Beach Waves

If you have fine waist length hair, this option is perfect for you! This Flower Curl technique uses two rings only and is positioned at the back of the scalp, rather than the top.  The curls will appear looser and is perfect for those who are looking to achieve a soft beach waves look without the heat.  Make sure you secure the curler at the back of the scalp by inserting a bobby pin through the middle donut, as this helps to keep the curler in place whilst wrapping your hair around each ring.

Helpful Tips for Best Results

We spent three years testing, prototyping and finding out what works and what doesn’t. We’ve curated some helpful tips for our customers, that we think you’ll find useful when using the Flower Curl overnight hair curler.  So here it goes:

  • Use the Flower Curl on completely dry and brushed hair

  • Insert a bobby pin through the middle ring to help stop the curler from moving

  • Make sure the back of the hair is nicely pulled up and not hanging loose

  • Spritz or apply some water on each section of hair for longer lasting curls (you only need a little bit!)

  • For long lasting curls, leave curler in overnight or for at least 6 hours during the day.
